Despite the wet conditions 2012 was the most successful Colgate Games for the Pt Chevalier club to date with a with a total of 12 medals including 4 golds.
The club congratulates Ivanja Po'uhila who won gold in both the discus and shotput and also won a junior athletics scholarship. She was one of four junior athletes identified at the games as having a very promising future in athletics.
23 athletes represented the club in a competition that was very tough with some very exciting and close events.
The three day competition in Tauranga was attended by clubs from all over New Zealand as well as the Trans Tasman athletes from NSW who joined the competition on Saturday. The full list of medal winners is:
