Many of our original trophies - some engraved in the 1950s - are still proudly awarded today, reminding each new generation that they’re part of a long line of local athletes who’ve run, jumped, and thrown before them.

Founded in 1945 as a summer fitness programme for the Point Chevalier Pirates Rugby League Club, the Point Chevalier Amateur Athletic Club has grown and flourished into a well-loved community institution, shaped by countless families who have kept the spirit of the club alive.

Our strong tradition of family involvement and community pride continues to be the heartbeat of PCAAC. It’s this sense of belonging and shared history that makes our club such a success, year after year.

80 years of history sits at the heart of Point Chevalier Athletics.

We help children aged 3-14 years develop a lifelong love of athletics and sport.

We’re a a family and community-oriented club that welcomes and encourages every child to take part. Some of our athletes have enjoyed success at the Colgate Games, National Secondary Schools, and Trans-Tasman competitions. Others have developed a passion for running that has continued in adulthood. We’re equally proud of every athlete who’s joined our club.

Find out more on how to join our club, including registration details, fees and uniform requirements, along with our code of conduct and how to get involved.

Our affiliations

Point Chevalier Amateur Athletics is proudly affiliated with the Auckland Amateur Athletics Association and Athletics New Zealand, giving our athletes the opportunity to compete at both regional and national levels. Many of our committee members are trained officials or accredited coaches, helping us provide a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all athletes.

Their guidance ensures our athletes not only have fun, but also develop strong fundamental skills that support success in athletics - and carry over into many other sports. Learn more about our coaches.

Thanks to our sponsor, New World Pt Chevalier!

We’re thrilled to be supported by the newly opened New World Point Chevalier, who are generously helping with supplies for our weekly sausage sizzle this season.

Their contribution helps keep our club running smoothly, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support!
