Colgate Games 2016

Colgate Games – Palmerston North, January 2016.

Point Chevalier Athletics were represented by 7yr old Noah Fa’alogo-Lilo, 8yr old Manutaeao Fa’alogo-Lilo and 12yr old Truman Tepai and their families. Both Noah & Manutaeao did well on their first Colgate Games with Daniel guiding them through the 3 day events. Truman on the other hand retained his Silver medal for Discus while qualifying for the 100m sprint & 200m finals.

The event was held in Palmerston North, the athletes had to put up with wind and a few rain spells during the 3-day event.

Overall our athletes as well as their families enjoyed the event, and had a great time meeting other families from all around NZ. One family in particular ex PCAAC family the Wyllies,  our club runner up of the year for season 2013/2014 Pippa was in attendance with her Mum, while Craig, Oscar and Charlie were on holiday at the beach!
The next colgate games are being held in Hastings in January 2017. It would be fantastic to see more families representing the club.
